Frances Sloan Interiors
Frances Sloan is known as an accomplished, multi-faceted designer and colorist whose firm, Frances Sloan Interiors, focuses on both residential and commercial projects.

Describing her style, clients have used such words as “warm,” “inviting,” “sensational,” and “spectacular”. A Middlefield client wrote, “Her colors for our new home flow like a work of art”. “Thanks to her efforts,” wrote a Bloomfield attorney, “our law office has come alive with a sense of confidence and stability.”

Graduating Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Michigan with a major in English and from Johns Hopkins with a Master of Arts in Teaching, Frances taught, edited, worked as a feature story writer and photographer, and went on to design award-winning publications for the University of Connecticut Health Center.
Frances began her profession when she intuitively designed the interior architecture of her historic Linden Place residence in Hartford. She refined her artistic skills by taking classes at the Rhode Island School of Design.

Frances has been quoted by the Hartford Courant, has appeared with Scott Haney in a filming at Middlebury Consignments, was selected to participate in three Junior League Show Houses, was named in Better Homes & Gardens Resource Guide 2007, and holds outstanding reviews with HomeAdvisor, a web-based resource offering homeowners pre-screened, customer rated professionals.

For Frances, however, her goal is quite simple. It combines a love for her art with a dedication to help each client define his or her unique style. She offers solutions that work. Above all, Frances believes that good design makes people happy in their homes and gives them a better life.

Let her goal be your goal.
